The story begins - my first blog

Welcome to my crazy and eventful life, I am so glad you are here! I want this space to be a place for you to relax, a place to feel at peace, and a place to feel a sense of hope. I am optimistic you will get value from being here. This blog will not be a scene out of the popular TV show 16 and pregnant, but I am confident, it will be just as dramatic. This is about how it all began and how at 16, my life would become nothing that I thought it was going to be.

I was a junior in high school and was on our high school dance team. I was going places. I was social, outgoing, and for years I had a dream of becoming a Cruise Director on a ship. God,, had other plans for me. It was a Tuesday night in 1989. Our dance team was performing at our high school basketball's half time show. It was the night my pregnancy became public. The night the truth came out. My Mom came to watch me that night which was strange because she never had before. The next day I found myself in my Dr.'s office getting a pregnancy test. Mom had her suspicions as I had gained 'tummy weight' which was why she came to the high school, to confirm. Her suspicions were right. I was 16, and pregnant.
